Definitions regarding “COMPREHENSIVE”, “IMMIGRATION”, and “REFORM” PDF Print E-mail
Written by Bill Ascherfeld

Now, if we want an Immigration bill, it would have to address people coming here as permanent residents.  .....

.... So, if we are discussing an immigration bill, we’d have to remove all the parts that spoke to “Guest workers”, Citizenship, any thought of returning to the country of origin.  Becoming a citizen, working, or returning to the country of origin is not included in the definition of immigration.

Soooo.. If we removed, or abandoned amnesty, actually enforced the enforcement parts of it, and effectively secured the border,  that would be the Reformation of that bill.  If we want a reformed bill, let’s start with that one.

Immigrate v. to come into a foreign country as a permanent resident.  immigration n.

Invade v. to crowd into; to penetrate harmfully. invader n.

The people who are immigrating illegally are invading this country by evading v. Avoiding (law enforcement officers and agents) by cleverness or trickery and the harmful penetration they produce is in the crimes they commit (29% of California prisons are filled with them) and the undetected serious diseases they carry.

Now that we are all “on the same page” about the meanings of the words in the name of the bill, let’s look at them.

Now, if we want an Immigration bill, it would have to address people coming here as permanent residents.  So, if we are discussing an immigration bill, we’d have to remove all the parts that spoke to “Guest workers”, Citizenship, any thought of returning to the country of origin.  Becoming a citizen, working, or returning to the country of origin is not included in the definition of immigration.

In other words, once you accept them as immigrants, we’re stuck with them, no matter what they do, or don’t do.  So, be careful who you accept as an immigrant!

It’s kind of clear to me that “Comprehensive”, “Reform” and “Immigration” don’t go together well as one bill if what congress is trying to do is address Reform of past mistakes in legislation, security of our borders, enforcement of our laws, and how to handle the situation with illegal invaders.

Is it cheaper to make one bill?  Is that why they want a “comprehensive” one?  With the amount of time and money they and the Administration are spending on this bill, I feel that several smaller bills would be more powerful and less expensive to pass.

Let’s start with a bill solely to fund enforcement of our labor laws at the places of employment.

If you need something “comprehensive” about that bill, let’s have a “comprehensive”, biometric, foreign worker identification card as part of the labor law funding bill.

These could be bought only in the American Embassy in the country of origin.  The foreigner who wanted to buy one would have to apply in person and prove that none of his family was: Already a citizen of the United States or in the United States illegally, and he had never entered the United States illegally himself.

The labor law enforcement appropriation bill would provide comprehensive, biometric foreign worker identification card readers to employers who could prove to the satisfaction of law enforcement they did not have illegal alien workers already employed by them free of charge.

Next, we could have a “comprehensive” border security bill.  – One that included much, if not all border security measures even talked about by congress or passionate border security proponents. Not just a fence; not just “virtual security” not just increasing the size of the Border patrol; not just putting units of The National Guard on the border, etc. but most or all of the above and more, if necessary,  including the funding and broad powers to make it happen.

Or, we could reform border security by exonerating Champeon, Ramos, and others wrongly accused of Crimes Against the State for simply doing their jobs of enforcement.  Clearly state the mission of border security and craft “rules of engagement” that would intimidate the enemy instead of criminalize law enforcement behavior.

Provide a bill for the out-sourcing of criminal detention centers in countries who would incarcerate non citizens for pennies on the dollar of what it costs here in the United States .

Then, once we have experience with those laws working:

1.         Many illegal aliens voluntarily returning to their country through established ports of entry or turning themselves in to authorities to be deported because they couldn’t get work.

2.         Criminal aliens; those who were caught committing a crime, or alleged to have committed a crime, summarily being deported to the above foreign prisons.  When they finished their term of incarceration for the crimes they committed, they could apply for citizenship in that country, or pay for transport back to their country of origin.

3.         Few, if any “undocumented” aliens slipping through our borders unaccounted for.

The next congress could look into the desirability of reforming what wasn’t working well by then.

After that, congress, with clear heads and clear consciences could address Immigration and see if they what needed to do to insure that the people who immigrated to this country actually had something positive to offer and were not spreading diseases that had been cleared up here, or only normally occurred in 3rd world countries where the health of its citizens was a very low priority.
