Back in the summer of 2002, yours truely had the good fortune to wind up in Nashville

video "Americana"

... and stay for a time with #1 Country Songwriter Rich Fagan and Tom Oteri ( father of Cheri Oteri of SNL ). These are good people, and it was great to get up front at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville for a performance by Rich and his Phillybilly band. This Song "Americana"  was written By Rich Fagan for Moe Bandy, it was #1 for quite sometime in the country charts, but its real meaning and true value comes from the heart and soul of the great songwriter that Rich Fagan is. In many ways this piece is a gift to Americans from a famous songwriter who is really just one of us.

The Bluebird Cafe is a very small place, and i had to sqeeze into the only 2 square feet left available ( & right in the path of the waitress traffic ) so it wound up a bit shakey and handheld.  You can find Rich Fagan and Tommy Oteri  at www.OFmusic.com  & see more video at www.youtube.com/ofmusic

They have written for many of the country music Greats, and have a lot of stories to tell, hopefully we will return to Nashville soon and bring back more from Rich and Tom.

In the interest of memory and respect, the World Trade Center was NOT americas heartland, we present this as a reminder that 911 affected us all regardless of where we live.

We think it is important to also respect and remember all those who gave of themselves in support of the recovery effort, noting that many returned from NYC with poor health as a result of being at ground zero, and some have yet to recover from that. We all salute the people that sought to serve in the aftermath... this is where america really is, in the hearts and sincerity of its people, not it's administration.
