by Aaron Cantor So reads the headline of Brett J. Blackledge’s column from the associated press, which appeared in the Las Vegas Review Journal on
From this column it appears that the White House has abandoned its controversial method of counting jobs under Obama’s economic stimulus, making it impossible to track the number of jobs saved or created with the $787 billion in recovery money. Despite, the facts, the 'White House Mob' is still claiming loudly its defense of its earlier count of 640,000 jobs credited to the - failed - stimulus, even after numerous errors were identified, Obama is now making it easier to give the 'alleged stimulus' credit for fictional job hirings. In a previous column entitled: I pointed out that the classic Washington Spin was as follow; If your policies don’t work, rather than changing the policy, you just change the name and hope that “WE the PEOPLE” are too damned dumb to notice. You guessed it folks, now it’s a matter of counting the jobs funded by stimulus money, which by the way, means that any stimulus money used to cover payroll will be included in the jobs credited to the program, including pay raises for existing employees and pay for people who were never in jeopardy of losing their job in the first place. The new rules were very quietly published in December in a memorandum to federal agencies, marking the White House’s latest response to criticism about how it was counting jobs being credited to the stimulus. A large scoop shovel couldn’t begin to handle all the Bullcrap coming out of the White House; you would in fact need an industrial sized front loader and a fleet of dump trucks to haul it away. There is so much slimy chicanery going on within our government that it behooves us to throw all of these people (both parties) out on their collective butts, and start with a fresh deck. No writer (myself included), could begin to cover all of this mess in one column, it would require a volume thicker than “War and Peace” and it still wouldn’t cover all of it. I fear for the future of our country. What will become of our children and grandchildren, and in my case great-grandchildren? I spent most of my adult life proudly wearing the uniform of my country, but more and more I keep hearing that little voice in the back of my head asking; was it worth it just so these thieves, ‘ganefs’, and swindlers can rape our country into oblivion?
