Commentary by (Webvideo): ... my take on all this started out a bit ambivalent since i was told the Press Call-Time was at 8:30 not knowing that they meant 8:30 AM - i found that out when i got off the plane at midnight (thinking call time was around 8pm i would get some rest )... so i had practically no sleep going to this.
This project has the goal of funding a yet another project named "Wild in the Night" basically a house / complex of support buildings and people to guide and protect runaway kids. They take this very seriously and consider it to be the focal point of the performances that gives it meaning. It was for this reason that i edited "Pray For Me" to intro with Nikki thanking everyone, since really a lot of people showed up early on a monday morning to be there and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Tamara from Billboard was great, and served as host/moderator for the Press Conference, and a rep from the Covenant House was there also praising the work Nikki has done for "Wild In The Night". I was Impressed with MTV Senior Exec Peter Baron, who had a single statement that stuck with me..."We plan a Massive Rollout " ... keep an eye out for this, when MTV says massive, I listen.
(drummer) - DJ Ashba ( guitar ) - James Michael ( guitar/lead vox ) - Nikki SIxx (bass ) They had 10,000watts just in the subwoofers, shook both the camera and my eyeballs, and so totally blew out the audio that i had to replace it with the CD tracks. Video by NWS: "Life Is Beautiful" Aside.. in the "Life is Beautiful" video near the end you can See Nikki Sixx waving to the backstage, which makes no sense unless you know that he was waving at me perched up in the balcony above the stage. It was an appeal to take photos of him ( so i did ), after that point you see camera flashes at the top edge of the video, that was me shooting pitcures. Here is one of them:
