This bill has no fewer than 5,224 ear-marks (pork barrel projects).

All but 3 Democrats voted for the bill and all but 3 Republicans voted against it.

The Boob in Chief of the Senate, Harry Reid (D-NV) was quoted as saying “every bill that is passed, every project that is funded, and every job that is created helps America take another step forward on the road of economic recovery”.

I don’t quite know how these people can look into a TV camera and talk about having created or saved any jobs and keep a straight face at the same time.

This out of control spending has to stop somewhere and I, like a lot of other Americans are scared to death that it won’t stop until these idiots have bankrupted the country beyond our ability to recover.

Proposals to put people back to work include tax breaks for new company hires, small business tax breaks, public works spending and federal aid to states. These ideas were tried by Jimmy Carter and they failed miserably within a year of being implemented (he used to be the worst president in history but not anymore).

This whopper of a bill includes such items as $3.9 Billion dollars for the aforementioned earmarks (pork barrel projects).

It also includes an average 2% pay raise for federal employees, not to mention the $4,700.00 pay raise that the House and Senate got, while We the People couldn’t even get a cost of living increase but my neighbor tells me that his deduction for Medicare which comes out of his social security check went from $96.50 a month to $120.50 per month, so they get the goodies and 'We The People' get 'BUPKUS' = [definition ~ crap essentially].

The FBI gets a 7% increase in it’s budget.

I could list a whole lot of other things that they are throwing money at in this cockamamie bill, but they don’t care, they think they are impervious to the will of the people.

The one that is really unbelievable, is the Feds are going to buy a prison in Illinois to house the Gitmo detainees, which makes no sense at all they are already in a facility that works quite well, so why do we have to buy and refurbish a prison in the U.S. for these rag heads?

While we are on that subject why do these people deserve civilian courts and all the rights that go along with it? Somewhere in his writings I think Shakespeare said something to the effect of “If thee wouldst make of this world a better place in which to reside, begin by ridding yourself of the lawyers and magistrates”.

Truth be known, lawyers are in large part responsible for the convoluted mess this country is in, and the ACLU is right at the top of the list.
