With the country facing the worst financial crisis in it's history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nations deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans".

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki (a retired 4 star general) said; "The plan was a consideration as a way to increase revenue as part of next years budget, but no final decision has been made yet"(way to go general).

Joe Violante, legislative director of Disabled American Veterans, signed a letter to Obama along with leaders of several other veterans groups, was quoted as saying; "It is a betrayal of all veterans, my insurance company didn't send me to Vietnam, my government did. The same holds true for the men and women fighting in Iraq, and Afghanistan. This is the governments responsibility.

Every time we hire some dummy that has had NO military experience, they start coming up with hair brained schemes to the detriment of our military.

If you elites really want to save some money, begin by giving yourselves a 50% cut in pay and benefits (that goes for your staff people too), and while you are at it scrap that bloodsucking retirement system you have set up for yourselves, and start paying into the social security system like the rest of us, and become part of our medical plan, or, you could be real patriots and put on a uniform and go fight a war for your country, and find out what it is like to live on military pay instead of $180 thousand per year for which you only work 93 days a year.

You folks keep harping on 47 million people uninsured in this country, which is an out and out fabrication. The real figure is between 5 - 10 million people who could easily be handled with a voucher system or a debit card system that would only cost approximately $25 billion per year, not trillions as you propose.

A lot of bad press, including major mockery by comedian Jon Stewart on the Daily Show has led to B Hussein O abandoning this silly assed plan, but keep your eye on this guy he will try to find a way to slip it to us another way jut like the health care reform bill, which is now the health insurance reform bill, it still boils down to the same thing.
