Sherman Frederick is the Publisher of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

He wrote a very interesting column in Sunday's Viewpoints (21 June 2009).

He said, "President Obama, the party head, is a political rock star in Amsterdam and Cairo, and back home in Las Vegas, Senator Harry Reid is portrayed as Too Big To Fail, and he has convinced everyone who is anyone here in Las Vegas to join him on the Obama Freight Train to Socialism". Next Stop: Rationed Health Care, Union Card Check, and $10.00-a-gallon gasoline. All Aboard.

Talk about the main stream media being in the tank for the Democrats, and that is exactly what I thought about Mr. Frederick when I read that Rock Star business, but as I thoroughly read his piece, it seems that Mr. Frederick has had enough pie in the sky too, and has dumped the Democratic party (good for you)!

I always close my column with the admonition to WAKE UP AMERICA!!! It is nice to see it is beginning to happen, not much but a beginning.

Talk about a double standard, When Bill Clinton was doing the Lewinsky Tango in the Oval Office, and then looked directly into the camera pointing his finger at us and lied about it, then further  lied under oath about it, the Democrats and the main stream media closed ranks around that crud and defended him like he was a bloody saint (oh it was only sex, and everybody who is married and strays lies about it).It is called perjury and it is a felony for which you can do time in the joint. On the other hand, Senator John Ensign (R) of Nevada (had an affair while he was separated from his wife) is being hounded by the Democrats and the main stream media for "SCANDALOUS" conduct. Question: Why is it any different for Ensign than it was for Clinton?

The hypocrisy is beyond belief.

One of the loudest drum bangers in this whole thing is a guy named John Brummett, whose commentary appears in the Review Journal. He is a syndicated columnist for the Arkansas News Bureau in Little Rock, and has even written a book about Clinton's first year as president.

I dont think most people are aware of how the government really works, the congress works out a budget, then the senate looks at it and compares it to theirs, then they reconcile the two drafts, then it gets voted on and then sent to the president who signs it into law or rejects it with a veto. Quit blaming Bush for everything that comes down the pike, start with  the Congress and the Senate they were controlled by the Democrats for 2 years before the "Anointed One" even took office.

Now that Barak Hussein Obama is President, you might want to start paying close attention to how often he says one thing, does another, and then denies that he ever said or did it.

I will repeat what I said in a previous column, start counting the number of times he will give a speech outlining some broad grandiose pie in the sky scheme, followed by the phrase, "We need to get this passed now, we can work out the details later".
