 Every time I turn on a TV or read a newspaper, some clown is going on and on about SotoMayor being such a brilliant jurist.

 The whole country knows that if it weren't for the fact that she is a Latina who grew up in the projects and came out of poverty in the South Bronx, she wouldn't even be on the short list, this is a political ploy and nothing more.

The "Anointed One" described her thus; "First and foremost, she has a rigorous intellect, a mastery of the law, an ability to hone in on the key issues and provide clear answers to complex legal questions. Second is a recognition of the limits of the judicial role, an understanding that a judge's job is to interpret, not make law; to approach decisions without any particular ideology or agenda, but rather a commitment to impartial justice; a respect for precedent and a determination to faithfully apply the law to the facts at hand and yet these qualities alone are insufficient, we need more, we need compassion and understanding of how the world works and how ordinary people live, and that is why it is a necessary ingredient in the kind of justice we need on the Supreme Court".

That really doesn't square with her being caught on video making a statement about the Appeals court is where "Policy is made", and when she realized she was being video-taped, she laughed and said "I know I really shouldn't be saying this on camera".

It doesn't square with her other well publicized statement; "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences, would more often than not, reach a better conclusion than a white male who has not lived that life". This does not sound like impartial justice to me or anyone else with half a brain, and it definitely doesn't square with "The Anointed One's" previous description of her.

Excuse me "Oh Anointed One", but the last time I looked, justice was wearing a blindfold (for a reason you Harvard twit) I thought perhaps you might know that, since you went to Law School, but then again that doesn't necessarily mean you know the law, or right from wrong, or Truth from fiction, does it.

Is this what the country elected this turkey for, to spend us into bankruptcy,(we still don't know how much last weeks dinner date to New York cost the taxpayers) and appoint people like this to the Supreme Court?

So much for the transparency he keeps promising us (which we haven't seen yet).

Two things:
The difference between the U.S. Government and the Boy Scouts:
The Boy Scouts have adult supervision.

How do you know when a politician is lying:
His mouth is open.
